Cabo with kids: beach days, easy meals and room to unwind

Living and dining area inside Penthouse 3603
A family trip to Cabo works best when the days have some breathing room. Choose a beach outing, a few meals everyone can enjoy and a place where the group can spend time together without leaving for every snack or breakfast.
La Estancia Penthouse 3603 has four bedrooms and accommodates up to ten guests at Villa La Estancia on Médano Beach. It is a base for a multigenerational stay, with room to gather between outings.

Make arrival easier with a grocery list
Ask about having groceries arranged before you arrive. Think beyond dinner: breakfast staples, fruit, familiar snacks and drinks can make the first morning simpler. Send your preferences ahead of arrival and let the concierge coordinate the shopping.
Include brands and dietary needs in your request. Confirm availability, shopping charges and timing with the concierge. Costco and Walmart are local shopping options if you prefer to shop during your stay.

Give the resort a day of its own
You do not need an excursion every morning. Build in time to enjoy the resort and spend part of the day close to the penthouse.
Families considering an optional all-inclusive plan should confirm the current rules for their booking before arrival. Ask which restaurants participate, what is excluded and how the plan applies to your group. The plan is not included in the base rental, and restaurant participation does not automatically establish access to every neighboring amenity.
Our nearby dining favorites include El Patrón and Taco Bar at Villa del Arco and Pizza Bar at Villa del Palmar. Neptune is another recommendation for a seafood dinner; check reservations and dress requirements.
Put Chileno Beach on the outing list
Chileno Beach is a worthwhile outing for families interested in snorkeling. Its reef makes it a destination for seeing marine life, with the experience dependent on visibility and sea conditions.
Before entering the water, check beach flags and local guidance. Keep children closely supervised and match activities to their ability. Pack drinking water, sun protection and the equipment you intend to use; do not assume rental gear will be available when you arrive.
Leave time for the return trip and an easy afternoon. Children do not need a second outing to make the day count.
Choose town meals around your family
For a marina outing, start with Baja Cantina Marina or Solomon's Landing. Baja Cantina's published menu includes burgers and sandwiches alongside other dishes, which gives a mixed group options. Check the current menu before promising a child a particular favorite.
Los Deseos is a choice for Mexican food in the marina area. El Paisa is our casual taco recommendation; confirm the location you plan to visit. Keep meals flexible rather than booking every night in advance.
Spend one evening around your own table
A dinner in lets the group share a meal without arranging transportation. You can make it a highlight while keeping the rest of the evening relaxed.
Getting around with children
Consider a taxi or concierge-arranged transportation for trips with beach equipment or tired children. Uber may also be an option where available. When arranging a ride, confirm passenger capacity and any child-seat requirements in advance. Prefer not to organize the details? Ask the concierge to coordinate reservations and transportation.
A walk along Médano toward town can suit some families, but sand and heat matter. Use the Location page to understand the setting and choose the route that works for your group.
