A relaxed five-day Cabo San Lucas itinerary

Private terrace at Penthouse 3603 overlooking the Sea of Cortez
Five days in Cabo leaves room for a little of everything: the beach, dinner downtown, a snorkeling outing and a meal together at home. This itinerary uses La Estancia Penthouse 3603 at Villa La Estancia as your base, with time left open for your own pace.
The penthouse accommodates up to ten guests across four bedrooms. Plan a few shared highlights, then let the rest of the stay unfold around the people you are traveling with.
Explore the penthouse’s private spaces and resort spa options.
Day 1: Arrive and settle in
Leave your first afternoon flexible. Unpack, take in the terrace views and decide whether your group wants an easy meal out or dinner in.
Before traveling, ask the concierge about grocery stocking. Send a list with breakfast items, snacks, drinks, preferred brands and dietary needs so the arrangements can be confirmed ahead of arrival. Shopping, groceries and other services may carry separate charges. Send your preferences ahead of arrival and let the concierge coordinate the shopping.
Keep the first night simple. A stocked kitchen makes breakfast the next morning easier, especially when everyone wakes up at a different time.
Day 2: Enjoy the resort and Médano Beach
Give yourself a full day close to home. Spend time at the resort, walk along Médano Beach and return to the penthouse when your group wants shade or a break.
For food close by, our favorites at neighboring Villa del Arco include El Patrón, Neptune and Taco Bar. Villa del Palmar's Pizza Bar is another option for a casual meal. Confirm restaurant access and any dining-plan arrangements before planning around them.
Interested in an all-inclusive add-on? Ask about current eligibility and terms for your stay. It is separate from the penthouse rental.

Shared swimming pool at Villa La Estancia.
Day 3: Explore downtown and the marina
Make this your town day. Browse around the marina, stop for a meal and leave time to explore without scheduling every hour.
Baja Cantina Marina and Solomon's Landing are two of our recommendations for a marina meal. Los Deseos is another choice for Mexican food. For a casual taco stop, El Paisa is one of our favorites; confirm the branch before setting out.
If you enjoy a longer walk, follow Médano Beach toward town and finish on local streets. Consider the sand, heat and your group's energy when choosing the route. A taxi, Uber where available, or concierge-arranged transportation can make the return easier. Prefer not to organize the details? Ask the concierge to coordinate reservations and transportation.
Day 4: Take a Chileno Beach outing
Chileno Beach is on the Los Cabos Tourist Corridor and is a popular place for swimming and snorkeling. Arrange transportation, bring water and sun protection, and plan around conditions on the day.
With children, keep the outing flexible. Check posted flags and local guidance before entering the water, supervise closely and choose an activity that suits their swimming ability. Fish sightings and calm water are never guaranteed.
Come back with the afternoon open. A beach outing does not need to become a full day of activities.
Day 5: Stay in for a memorable meal
Save part of the final day for the penthouse. Enjoy a slow morning, revisit a favorite spot or leave the afternoon free for your group.
Prefer a final night on the town? Choose your setting: El Farallón for cliffside seafood, El Huerto for garden dining, or RosaNegra for a lively evening. Check reservations and operating dates before making plans.
How to adapt these five days
Families can keep the town outing shorter and add more downtime. Couples can trade a resort dinner for a reserved date night. Friends can choose a few meals to share while leaving daytime plans open.
Nothing in this itinerary is a bundled package. Transportation, private dining and optional resort plans are arranged separately. For practical geography, see our Location page; for menus and venue links, use our restaurant guide.
Make 3603 your Cabo base
Four bedrooms, space for up to ten guests and a terrace overlooking the Sea of Cortez give your group a place to come back together between outings.
